Farmers who own land over Rîbnița-Tiraspol highway will receive compensations worth 16 million lei for the losses during 2017-2018. The document was yesterday approved by the Government.

The money will be offered from the Government's reserve fund, while each farmer will receive on average 1 230 lei per hectare. Farmers from Dubăsari district lost access to their lands located over Rîbnița-Tiraspol highway in 2014, but after negotiations were held between Chisinau and Tiraspol they have regained access for a period of 20 years.

The executive also announced yesterday that United States of America will offer Moldova technical assistance worth 3.5 million USD. The money will be used within projects for child protection and to develop mass media.

Beneficiaries will be Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection, independent mass media professionals, especially those implicated in local and international movie making.

Also yesterday, the Government approved 40 measures to combat corruption among officers. Law enforcement will be inspected unannounced and receive sanctions in case of violations.
