Festival dedicated to prehistoric Cucuteni culture held in Orhei
The festival “Cucuteni 2016” is taking place these days in Ivancea village of Orhei district. Handicrafts people from Moldova and abroad display their ceramic works.
The children enjoyed a master class in modeling clays, while visitors admired an exhibition of Cucuteni pots.
Some were impressed how modernism was combined with antiquity.
"It’s a very interesting place. The archeological site, which is the most important part of the Cucuteni culture. I find it useful that people attracted to know this culture," said Hungary’s ambassador Matyas Szilagyi.
Some of the works will be exhibited in a museum, after the festival ends.
The Cucuteni festival is at its second edition.
