Moldovan premier Pavel Filip convened the heads of the agencies in charge to evaluate the situation after last night’s heavy rain and the steps undertaken to remove the consequences.

"I have signed an order to give the necessary materials to repair the roofs. We have talked about the reaction of the ones in charge at the anti-hail service. I’ll have a discussion with the district presidents, as not all of them reacted as a yellow code supposes to. Farming fields have also been affected. We are to evaluate and the Government will see what damages to cover," Pavel Filip said.

Yesterday’s and last night rains hit scores of Moldovan villages.
