On Monday morning, 14 November 2016, the chosen president of Moldova, Igor Dodon, went to congratulate his mother, and afterwards he went to his father's grave, in his home village.
"In the morning I went to Sadova, went to the school with a bouquet of flowers, to my mother who was in class. Afterwards I went to the cemetery, to my father's grave. I think he would have been very glad to live to this day" said Igor Dodon.
At the same time, he advised his counter-candidate, Maia Sandu, to show political maturity.
"That's it, the elections are over. We have to end it and to start from a new page. I think it would be correct" said Dodon.
