First stop of DPM caravan was in Anenii Noi district. Democrats talked with locals
The electoral caravan of the Democratic Party, launched on Saturday, January 26, had its first destination in the Anenii Noi district. The Democrats went to the district capital and some other localities in the district to tell the people what they managed to do in the three years of Government, and what plans they have for the next four years.
The first meeting took place at the district hospital in Anenii Noi, DPM representatives talking to people about government reforms and urging citizens to choose the facts, not the words.
"During this month the campaign will come more before you, that promise rivers of milk flowing honey, but you wonder how good are they to do what they promise. If you mention example in terms of wage increases, no one says that what we have done is ideal, but what has been achieved only in 2018, including doctors, is a great achievement and that must continue", said Andrian Candu, Parliament Speaker.
Alexandru Jizdan, candidate of the Democratic Party for the constituency no. 24 (Anenii Noi) confessed to doctors that the health sector is not alien to him, because his parents worked in the field and knows how to improve the situation in the institution in his native district.
"We will take care to provide the hospitals as they should - in Anenii Noi and across the country. Patients deserve better treatments, and health professionals need to work with better equipment", said Alexandru Jizdan.
The topics addressed have raised the interest of physicians who have been pleased with the initiatives launched by the government and have indicated that more attention is needed from the state for the medical sector.
"It is a big plus and I think this increase is one of the steps. In the future, we hope we will not be forgotten and have salary increases, " one of the doctors said in the discussion, referring to the positive effects of unitary wages from the wage budget sector and the expectations of the future.
The chief doctor also addressed the problem of installing an electric generator and a hospital lift, the request being sent to the Ministry of Health.
After the hospital, the caravan arrived at the Milina Bread Factory, where they tasted fresh bread.
"Today there is another atmosphere, which means better business environment and employment. Last year over 60 thousand new jobs were created. This means salaries for people here in the country", noted Andrian Candu in the discussions with the employees bakery.
At the meeting with the energy sector workers, Alexandru Jizdan remarked that the processes launched in the country go in the right direction, which is also confirmed by the fact that from 2016 until now the national budget has been increased due to the economic growth and the money was directed for projects in domains various, expected by people.
Jizdan pointed out that in his native village, for example, a 1.5 km road was paved, and two roads would be paved in 2019.
"Until now I have been able to visit all the localities in the constituency, I know the problems in each village. I have experience in leading one of the largest ministries, managing for 3 years a very important sector and I am ready to represent Parliament in Anenii Noi district", said Alexandru Jizdan.
Following talks with residents in Anenii Noi, Democrats highlighted a problem for which solutions could be proposed in the coming weeks. It has been mentioned that there are cases when gas disconnections are made for debts of 100-150 lei, while the reconnection costs 500 lei. Another problem mentioned by the inhabitants of Anenii Noi is that it is not allowed to pay the natural gas bills in advance or in equal parts throughout the year, with recalculation at the end of the year.
DPM exhibitors have pledged to take action to the National Energy Regulatory Agency and if necessary, to promote legislative changes.
"In order to solve this problem there is no need for investment, but only for will. The DPM team has demonstrated that there is a will to do good things", said Alexandru Jizdan.
Over the next 30 days, the DPM's electoral caravan will go to the country's districts to discuss with citizens the ongoing reforms and their impact. In the DPM team that started in the caravan were, among others, Andrian Candu, Alexandru Jizdan, Cristina Lesnic, Silvia Radu, Sergiu Sirbu, Valentina Stratan, Igor Vremea, Valentina Buliga, Alexandru Cauia.
