Five more people have been detained following the last week clashes between illegal vendors selling around the Central market of Chisinau and the police.
They face sentences of three-year terms for attacking the carabineers who tried to dismantle their stands.
The authorities insist they will struggle to curb illegal vending until all the merchants leave the unauthorized places.
A rioter had been earlier arrested for 30 days and another had been ordered house arrest for the same offences.
The municipal authorities want the vendors to sell in bazaars, not on sidewalks.
