15 families from the southern district of Ceadîr-Lunga, whose houses were destroyed by floods last summer, will move in to new houses. An abandoned block of apartments from the town has been revamped with the financial aid of a Turkish development agency.
The bloc has three stories and the dwellings have been distributed depending on the number of family members.
"Our Turkish friends responded and offered help. They selected a construction firm which managed to revamp the block within three months, so that the apartments be ready before winter starts," said Ceadîr-Lunga town mayor Anatolie Topal.
The floods in Ceadîr-Lunga town were caused by heavy showers in June.
