Foreign Ministry's clarification about 40 Moldovans who were blocked at Chisinau Airport
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration came with a clarification after 40 Moldovans who wanted to go to Italy with a charter flight were blocked at the Chisinau Airport.
"In accordance with the Disposition of the Commission for Exceptional Situations (CES) no.6 of 26.03.20, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration coordinates the process of repatriation of the Moldovan citizens with charter flights. These exceptional flights have humanitarian character and are approved by CES.
Respectively, the ministry's task is to ensure that all Moldovan citizens registered for the charter route from Milan are admitted on board for the flight to Chisinau.
The ministry agreed with the Italian Embassy in Chisinau on the repatriation of Italian citizens with the flight from Chisinau to Milan.
The Ministry does not organize commercial flights in Chisinau and reminds that before planning trips abroad it is necessary to consult the official sources regarding travel alerts and access conditions on the territories of foreign states."
