Dorin Drăguțanu, the former governor of the Moldovan National Bank, was placed in remand detention for 30 days under a decision passed by the Ciocana branch of the Chisinau City Court yesterday.
The Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office on March 5 carried out criminal investigation measures at the NBM in connection with the bank fraud case.
As a result, NBM vice-governors Aureliu Cincilei and Ion Sturzu, the former NBM vice-governor Emma Tăbârţă, and the former NBM governor Dorin Drăguţanu were arrested and heard.
