"Taking into consideration our discussions from the beginning of this month in Chisinau, when several investment priorities that Bucharest can support were established, a delegation will be created in the near future, made out of specialists in the infrastructure and urbanism, that will go to the Republic of Moldova to evaluate the necessary expenses required for the implementation of those projects. Namely, I speak of rehabilitation of a maternity ward and two lyceums: Mihai Eminescu and Gh. Asachi that also need restoration. I will also suggest to Mayors of sectors to contribute in rehabilitation of some educational institutions from Chisinau, to make collaboration between our cities more concrete as soon as possible, one of the prioritized area being education" Mayor Gabriela Firea said.
In his turn, Iurie Leancă expressed his gratitude toward Mayor of Bucharest for the offered support and affirmed his wish to bring to Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum a traditional bessarabian house, requesting for arrangement to be made for the necessary surface to be offered, taking into consideration that at the moment there is no space available for this purpose.
"One discussed topic was facilitating access for citizens of Moldova in the labor market, as at the moment there are not many options. I request you to make a lobby for a bilateral agreement between Romania and Moldova, allowing citizens of Moldova to find jobs in Romanian companies easier" Iurie Leancă added.
Mayor of Bucharest assured that talks will take place with officials from the Government to make the projects from Chisinau beneficial on both a local and central level.
