Gazprom to announce price for natural gas by end of February
By the end of this month, Gazprom will announce the price of natural gas delivery to Moldova for 2017. Following international trends, the price must be lower than last year, according to Minister of Economy Octavian Calmac, quoted by IPN.
Last year the price for 1,000 cubic meters was of 176 dollars.
Asked about a possible discount on the price, Octavian Calmic said it is still early to talk about it.
"We should wait and see the discount made. On another hand, don't forget MoldovaGaz has registered negative deviations over last years. As we know, those are included in the final price of the consumers. If the discound will be possible, ANRE will have to revise the price for final consumers" , said Octavian Calmac.
Moldova signed the natural gas supply contract with Gazprom in 2007 for a period of 4 years. After the deadline, it was extended several times.
The latest contract was signed for three years, until 2019.
