George Tsereteli, OSCE President encourage Moldovan authorities to provide free, fair and transparent elections
The pre-election evolution in the Republic of Moldova has been discussed within the meeting of the Parliament's delegation at the OSCE Parliamentary Meeting with George Tsereteli, the President of the Parliamentary Meeting of the Organizations for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Sergiu Sirbu, the President of the Parliament's delegation announced that the authorities make everything possible to provide free and fair elections that match with the international standards:"We want to make sure that the parliamentary elections that will take place on February 24 will be free, fair, democratic and transparent. I hope that our country will continue on the pro-European reforms."
According to the deputy, the authorities are able to face the costs and the organization of the elections. Sergiu Sirbu highlighted that international observes have been invited to monitor the elections. At the same time, more voting booths will be opened abroad and the number of ballots will increase. In the voting booths surveillance cameras will be installed.

At his turn, George Tsereteli, the President of OSCE Parliamentary Meeting encouraged our authorities to evolve the elections according to the democratic standards. The high official of the OSCE Parliamentary Meeting keeps an eye on the Republic of Moldova's evolution.
George Tsereteli paid a fact-finding visit in Moldova between January 20 and 23. This is his second visit in Moldova.
The Parliamentary Meeting of OSCE has 323 MPs who represent 57 countries.
