Germany is interested in developing Mărculești International Airport
The possibility to develop Mărculești International Airport, with the implication of international parties, was discussed today during a meeting of Prime Minister Pavel Filip with Dieter Posch, former Minister for Economics, Transport and State Development for the State of Hesse and member of the Administration Council of Frankfurt Airport.
The officials remarked that the potential of Mărculești International Airport could be evaluated through the implementation of a professional management system.
Here, the German officials offered to share their experience in the field to reform the airport and develop the air transport.
Therefore, the airport will become the main business center capable of ensuring connection between CIS and EU, due to its favorable geographical position.
Prime Minister accentuated that the Government is interested in implementing this project and will continue direct talks with potential investors, especially on subjects tied to business infrastructure development and increase the country's economic capacity. Here, Pavel Filip spoke of the Government's efforts to improve the investment climate and simplify the relations between the state and the business environment.
The parties have also mentioned the importance of collaboration in science, trade of knowledge and experience exchange between Republic of Moldova and Germany. Particularly was appreciated Germany's contribution to the Engineering College in Străşeni, where, according to the dual training model, skilled personnel will be trained for companies from Moldova, mainly in the automotive sector.
