Ghenadie Brega issued international search and penal case for hooliganism. IGP's declaration
Activist Ghenadie Brega is in international search. According to a police communicator, he did not report many times to the inspectorate, even if he was quoted. A criminal case for hooliganism was opened in his name.
The incident took place on January 19th, at the Center Petition Center, 43 Bulgară st., Ghenadie Brega showed inappropriate behaviors against Vasile Urîtu, institution's deputy. Everything was filmed by an employee of Petition Center.
In the video, we can see Brega was using indecent words against the clerk,
"Why do you hit Sulambec?" "I hit you? Did you shoot?" "Why did you do that, you stupid guy?"
Subsequently, the deputy complained to a colleague that Ghenadie Brega had assaulted him and that Brega had been intoxicated. The activist, however, has his own words.
"He is stepping on my foot, pushing me! He smells full of alcohol. I was assaulted by the deputy mayor. "
Later, the clerk filed a complaint, but Ghenadie Brega did not come to the police. Meanwhile, he announced he had asked for political asylum in Iceland.
The General Police Inspectorate has clarified in this case:
"Citizen Gh. Brega has been accused of a criminal case for Hooliganism.
"At the same time, we emphasize that all the referrals sent to us by the attorney of Gh. Brega were examined in due time with the subsequent written notification of the applicant, "the PGI communiqué said.
If found guilty, he can risk fine of up to 52,000 lei or up to three years in jail.
