Government approved new measures to promote employment
The Government will take new measures to improve the situation from the labor market in Republic of Moldova, to reduce the unemployment rate and assist the professional development of unemployed people, according to the demands of the labor market.
A project approved today by the Government clearly states the duties of National Employment Agency of Moldova, which will be responsible to monitor the labor market, keeping records of people seeking employment, vacancies, labor market analysis and forecasts, impact assessment of employment measures.
At the same time, the role of public authorities in the field of employment is strengthened and the responsibilities of the private sector agencies are stipulated.
To facilitate integration of employment, are foreseen a series of measures, such as: career guidance, provision of pre-termination services, introduction of in-work training for unemployed people without qualifications, professional training for those lacking experience, especially young people.
The project also foresees offering monthly subventions for employees that risk social exclusion, worth 30% from their salary, for a term of six months, for every jobless person that was employed. Support will also be offered to employees that will create or adapt some jobs to fit the needs of disabled people, National Employment Agency of Moldova being willing to cover 50% of the expenses.
The Agency will also offer consultations for realization of local initiatives, as well as to unemployed people who wish to launch their own business.
