The Government has approved a new set of laws, by which foreigners can gain Moldovan citizenship through investments. Those who wish to gain one through this way, will have to invest to Social Investment Fund at least 100 thousand euro, as well as at least 250 thousand euro into a strategic development program from Moldova.

The main required areas are of real estate, social funding and public investments. The foreigners will also be required to have a good reputation in the financial and economic field. 

At the same time, those who wish to apply will have to posses a clean record, with no attachments to fraud or terrorist financing cases. People who will gain Moldovan citizenship through such a way, will have their investments monitored for the next 5 years.
