Government endorses new Cabinet structure

The Cabinet has approved the bill on restructuring the central government.
It will have to be turned into law till later in July by the Parliament.
There will be fewer ministries, from 16 to 9, and state secretaries instead of vice ministers.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip says the new Cabinet will be functional before the Parliament leaves for vacation: The draft law aims at building robust state institutions. We must make the reform to build this foundation to enbale Moldova to grew."
The preliminary breakout of the Cabinet will be as follows:
Prime Minister, three deputy premiers and nine ministries:
- Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration
- Ministry of Finances
- Ministry of Internal Affairs
- Ministry of Justice
- Ministry of Defense
- Ministry of Education, Culture and Research
- Ministry of Health and Social Protection
- Ministry of Agriculture, Regional development and Environment.
