Government to discuss principal projects for Moldova modernization

The Inter-Ministerial Committee for Strategic Planning (CIPS) meeting was chaired today by the Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
This platform ensures the correlation made by external assistance and strategic priorities of Government.
At the meeting the annual report on foreign assistance (the 2016 report) was presented, accordingly, the development assistance of around 440 million euros was reported from our external partners.
These figures show an 33% increase compared to 2015. EU, the World Bank, Romania, UN Agencies, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development remain our biggest partners.
In addition, the strategic priorities must be primarily related to the institutions capacity and external assistance projects.

CIPS members today approved the project proposal regarding Financing Agreement Moldova - International Development Association and the Loan Agreement of $22.43 million between Moldova and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This project provides multidimensional approaches to public service modernization.
They, likewise, brought to the table the topic "Climate Change Adaptation" which they decided to restructure the project and enhance the preparedness.
"Development of Emergency Mobile Service, Resuscitation and Downloading Service" project with purpose of strengthening the medical and technical emergency system was also analyzed.
