The Cabinet of Ministers decided to initiate negotiations on the Pilot Program between the Governments of the Republic of Moldova and the State of Israel on the employment of Moldovan citizens as carers of elderly people with disabilities in Israel.
The project aims to respect the rights of migrant workers and to combat illegal migration. In particular, migrants will receive professional training and medical examinations on the territory of the State of Israel. The pilot program initially envisages the employment of 300 Moldovan citizens.
At the same time, the Government decided to initiate the negotiations on the draft Administrative Arrangement for the implementation of the Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the State of Israel in the field of social security. Thus, migrants from the two countries will be able to apply for pension and other social security benefits from their new place of residence.
These decisions are the result of the agreements reached during the visit of Prime Minister Pavel Filip to Israel.
