Government's Committee on European Integration discussed the construction of Ungheni-Chisinau gas pipeline
Prime Minister Pavel Filip has led last evening the meeting of Government's Committee on European Integration.
During the meeting, the developments registered in completing the National Action Plan on the implementation of the EU Association Agreement, concentrating on economy and sectors.
Prime Minister mentioned that the reunion of the Association Council, which took place in May 2018, as well as the bilateral meeting with EU officials have reconfirmed that the progresses made by authorities from Chisinau contribute in advancing Republic of Moldova on its European track, as well as crating new possibilities in the dialogue with EU.
Here, the importance of extending the list of animal produce that can be exported to EU member states was empathized, being analyzed the implementation of Action Plan on export of chicken meat and eggs.
To gain the right to export, actions were taken to change the law, preparing over 400 ANSA employees in inspection and control, programs to monitor and combat poultry illnesses were elaborated.
In the near future, authorities wish to identify solutions for trash disposal through burning.
At the same time, the Commission's members spoke of the progresses made in the obligations in the field of transport and energy.
The key element was meeting the deadlines in the project of lengthening Iași-Ungheni gas pipeline to Chisinau, the construction time limit being the end of August.
At the same time the possibility to connect Republic of Moldova to the European energy market was also discussed.
During the meeting, the importance of improving the legislation to EU norms was accentuated. Another topic was also the completion of terms required for the EU macro-financial assistance.
