Grants worth 630 million lei for agricultural technology

Farmers this year have filed over 4,500 applications for grants, a total of almost 630 million lei.
According to the Agency for Payments and Intervention for Agriculture, most requests, around 1,400, were for agricultural technology and equipment amounting to 116 million lei.
Applications for credit from commercial banks and non-bank financial institutions are on the second place, and provide a total amount of 81 million lei.
Other requests seek to establish, upgrade and land clearing of plantations.
Some farmers will receive subsidies until the end of the year, the rest in 2017, after the state budget will be approved.
