A 48-year-old man has been killed after being hit by a cargo train as the minibus driver crossed the red light.

The tragedy took place in the Cuporani village, Leova district. The victim died on the hospital bed.

The train driver also suffered multiple trauma and is in serious condition.

Following the violent impact, the minibus was thrown a few meters away.

The Leova Police Inspectorate has initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances of tragedy.
