Great flower carpet laid in Cathedral Square by interim of Capital
Beautiful view in the Cathedral Square from Chisinau. A 450 square meters flower carpet was installed there. The idea belongs to Silvia Radu, the interim of the Capital.
"The flower carpet was made based on a traditional Moldovan carpet. Over 200 thousand violas. Thus, the authorities want to promote the traditions and attract more tourists", said Silvia Radu.
The ones who passed near by admired the unusual carpet and made photos:
"Impressive. The beauty costs, but it is worth is."
"Very nice. The tourists and the Capital residents will be impressed."
"Impresionat. Frumuseţea ceva costă înseamnă că, dar face, e frumos, foarte frumos".
The tourists are also impressed:
"I have noticed that Chisinau is beautiful and modern."
The interim of the Capital wants to make a yearly flowers festival.
"I have seen such festivals in Europe and I think it would be nice to have one in Chisinau", said Silvia Radu.
The project is worth 1 million 800 lei. The flower carpet will be admired till April 17.
