Group of NATO experts paying a visit to Moldova to assist the Defense Ministry
A group of experts from NATO are visiting Republic of Moldova between April 3-5 2018, to support for the preparation of sub-unit evaluation of the National Army in terms of Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC).
Therefore, experts will meet with representatives of the General Staff, 22nd Battalion for peacekeeping and sub-units, that will be evaluated this summer.
This June, the 22nd Battalion will be evaluated and later authorized to participate in international peacekeeping missions.
OCC is an instrument used within Partnership for Peace - by implementing western standards and evaluate declared sub-units - offering Republic of Moldova the possibility to participate in multinational peacekeeping missions. For the first time in 2012, a group from the 22nd Battalion for peacekeeping and a group from the bomb disposal became certified to participate in international peacekeeping operations.
