More and more ethnic groups from Moldova state their support for the uninominal voting system.
The Communiyt of Ukrainian people of culture, the Tartars Community and the Armenians Association have issued a statement backing the modification of the electoral system.
The authors say they cannot stand by political life and show their confidence that voting in uninominal constituencies will make politicians be closer to people.
In their opinion, the new system will enable them to send their own representatives to the Legislature to promote their rights and values.
The bill drafted by the Democratic Party from Moldova was sent to the Venice Commission and subjected to debates in the Parliament.
