Health Reform: Fewer unjustified hospitalizations
Ministry of Health to implement order, which discourages the unnecessary hospitalizations. Doctors in hospitals will be able to pay more attention to seriously ill patients. This allows medical institutions to save money and patients who require ongoing support, benefit from higher quality services.
The reform stipulates that patients with light pathologies will be discharged after 24 hours of treatment, and after will be supervised by family doctors.
The order only provides for hospitalized patients in serious condition was issued by the Ministry of Health since 2013. It was applied a month ago, when the National Health Insurance Company has allocated necessary financial resources for the outpatient treatment and the authorities extended the list of subsidized drugs.
Recently, the Ministry of Health announced that the subsidized drugs list will be expanded with 65 drug titles.
