Health reforms examined at the Government
The reform about first medical assistance was presented today by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, within a session leaded by Pavel Filip, the prime minister of Moldova.
The prime minister mentioned that the health system reform is a priority of the Government, as it is included three reforms into one: one of the public health, first medical aid and hospital care. These reforms will be approved together.
The reform of the public service is about to be implemented. It targets a healthy lifestyle, that will prevent the illnesses. The following one is the first aid reform, that will simplify the reform of the hospitals. Here, the ambulances will be changed, to make the process faster.
According to the concept of the reform, now, the system faces many problems, such as reduced efficiency, bureaucracy, a short list of the compensated drugs, employees and so on.
To change the things, the Government proposed some changes that will change this system.
The Government will make a bigger accent on the responsibility of the family doctors, who will decide on the activity form. Also, there will be provided better salaries, especially in villages.
The Government will approve the law till the end of July, this year.
