Health report: More and more Moldovans receive chance to new life

More Moldovans receive a new chance at life thanks to transplant surgeries. Their number has doubled last year compared to 2015.
According Transplant Agency, in 2016 were performed 22 kidney transplant intervention, 12 more than in 2015.
And the number of liver and corneal transplants has doubled. Thus, in 2016, nine people received a new liver.
Most surgeries have targeted tissue transplantation, being made over 600 interventions of this kind.
The forecasts are optimistic for 2017. Two kidney and two liver transplants have already been performed in 2017.
Currently there are 38 patients on the waiting list for kidney transplant and nearly 90 people for the liver transplant.
