Health authorities to apply for grant to Global Fund

Health authorities will request from the Global Fund a new grant for treatment of tuberculosis and HIV patients. The amount of 15.8 million euros will be used for the implementation of national programs in this area over the next three years.
Until now, the Global Fund has provided our country with about 25 million. The money was used to purchase tests for the detection of HIV, antiviral drugs for HIV-positive pregnant women and powdered milk for babies born from infected women.
The tuberculosis drugs were bought for laboratories specializing in diagnosis of the disease have been equipped with medical equipment.
