Healthcare Minister: This country needs very good managers
This country needs very good managers and you have the ambition to be so! That’s what Health Minister Ruxanda Glavan has told those 24 students at the Public Health Management School, at a meeting. The minister called on them to stay within the Health system after graduation.
The minister has promised she will support them and the best will get to key positions within the system. She has spoken about the new rules as to appointing hospital managers. Thus, such jobs will be made available only for people from the system and for graduates of finances and economy universities.
"The realities of financing a hospital, of managing incomes and expenditures, and the necessity to show performance make us apply the international practice. The big hospitals must be managed by professional managers," Glavan maintained.
The master-degree courses last two years and cost 16,000 lei ($800.)
