Hearings with victims of human trafficking to be held in better conditions

Two rooms for interviewing child and adult victims were officially inaugurated on February 2nd, this year, at the Centre for Combating Human Trafficking.
The rooms for hearings were arranged and equipped according to all international requirements with the support of international partners (the US Embassy, IOM Mission to Moldova, OSCE) and represents a link of friendly legal system, aiming at avoiding re-victimization and ensuring the realization of the rights of victims.
The room for hearing minors was fitted with surveillance audio and video in order to protect to participate in the procedural actions usual, subject to less influences traumatic to speak in front of more mature now elucidation of situation has gone through or he knows.
The victims, including minor ones, will have psychological contact with one specialist, in an environment that inspires confidence and trust so that their testimonies will be accurate and truthful.
In order to avoid a negative experience and traumatic for the minor, the hearing under special conditions will give its assurance that it will not meet directly with the abuser, and the records will be used in legal proceedings whenever necessary, without this minor to be heard about the experiences.
In this context, the head IGP thanked partners for their support for adapting interviewing room of victims of trafficking for preventing the re-victimization and create a friendly space to them.
