Holocaust's victims commemorated within musical spectacle in Chisinau
The victims of the Holocaust were commemorated today within a musical, Moldo-Israelian project of Baruch Berliner composer. At the ceremony organized by Jewish Cultural Center and hosted by S.Lunchevici National Philharmonic participated Vladimir Vitiuc, the deputy President of the Parliament.
"Yearly, on January 27, we commemorate the victims of the Holocaust, the six million Jewish who died within the World War Second. It is an international catastrophe, an enormous tragedy and we should learn from it and not repeat it", declared Vladimir Vitiuc at the concert opening.
The deputy President of the Parliament said that we should always keep in mind these terrible events and to fight against discrimination, to promote human values. "Through attitude and implication we will keep mind this catastrophe of the last century", said the deputy President.
In the concert entitled "Holocaust, Commemoration, Awareness, Overcoming", evolved S.Lunchevici orchestra, the actors of "Trandafirilor street", a rock and ballet band. In the hall there was a pictures exhibition.
The Moldovan Parliament condemned the Holocaust by adopting in July 2016 a political statement accepting the report of the International Commission on the Study of the Holocaust.
