A horse was found buried in Valea Morilor Park in the capital. The incident was captured by a photographer who later posted that picture on the internet.

Subsequently, the president of an animal welfare association identified the place and announced the authorities.

The horse was two years old and used to walk through the park.

"The horse was tied to the tree, perhaps when it slipped and fell, nobody was available to help," said animal protection NGO president Karl Luganov.

The animal belonged to a woman who has two other horses and a pony. The young man claims that he has seen many times how the animals struggle, they are not fed properly. 

Specialists took the samples and transported them to the Republican Center for Veterinary Diagnosis, where the results will be available in the coming days.

If found to be guilty, the woman risks a fine worth up to 3,600 lei.
