Hundreds people gathered on Dragobete holiday Eve to dance and sing
More than 200 people in the Capital gathered at a celebration dedicated to Dragobete. At the event set up by the Democratic Party, "The Nation's Treasure," the people sang, danced, and remembered the traditions they usually followed.
"The girls were gathering the snow that was considered the smile of the fairy, and with this snow it was a miraculous snow to bathe and want to see their beast."
Former soloist of the National Opera Ana Bodrug, present at the feast, a recited lyrics dedicated to love.
"I do not care about the lady, I'm a laugh, but I'm just a woman, ready to fight, to fight for something better! A happy life, a glorious destiny!" Ana Bodrug, a former singer.
The elderly say that due to this event they have socialized with their peers.
"We at our age want to go somewhere to have fun, spend the time."
"If we take care of retirees this way, we will strive to live longer."
"We came out of the house, out of the walls to walk around, to see the world."
"We do not have fun as we do not post yet."
"We gathered today on such a beautiful day, the Dragobete feast. We spend the winter, meet the spring with a lot of joy, with goodwill and joyful heart," said Maria Dodonov, President of The Nation's Treasury.
The "Nation's Treasure" Organization in Chisinau has more than 800 members.
