The hunting house of the former leader of the Communist Party in the Soviet Moldavia, Ivan Bodiul, is likely to be transformed to a Center of Ecologic Information.
The building is situated in a forest in Ungheni district. It could be visited by tourists interested in Moldova’s fauna and flora.
As it is not lived in, the house is gradually ruining. The authorities are currently looking to find investments.
The Plaiul Fagului natural reservation has 15 % of the 5 million lei need ($250,000), and negotiates in this respect with a polish investment fund.
