IGP chief participates reunion of International Association of Police Chiefs in America
A delegation led by Head of the General Police Inspectorate, Alexandru Pînzari, is in a study visit in Philadelphia city, Pennsylvania, US between 21 - 28 October 2017. They're attending the the 124th Reunion of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), one of the largest associations in the world.
The visit has purpose of obtaining practice in combating crime and improving police services.
Over 200 seminars on the good administrative, technical and operational practices in police activities are being held at the meeting.
In the early days of the meeting, the delegation participated in the seminar dedicated to the development concept of police community, example of Canadian experience served in this regard.
IACP was founded in 1893 by forty seven chiefs of police from cities in the United States. The founders of the organization sought to establish a central police bureau to improve detection and prevention of crime in the United States as well as to foster an exchange of ideas and information related to law enforcement.
