Other eight people, charged with the drug dossier, were placed in custody. Four doctors and a pharmacist were placed in the isolator, and three people were issued home arrest. The decision was taken today by the magistrates from the Buiucani office of the Chişinău Court.

The defendants were escorted to the court by the CNA officers. They refused to talk to the press.

Lawyers said they did not agree with the magistrates' conclusion and would appeal it in the higher court.

Four people were placed in the isolator for 30 days, and another for 25 days. Other three defendants will be detained at home, although anti-corruption prosecutors have called for preventive arrest.

On Saturday, other three defendants were placed in the isolator, and eight were in house arrest. Totally, 20 people have been detained for illegal medicine trading scheme. 

PUBLIKA reminds that some pharmaceutical companies bribed doctors to prescribe to their patients medicine the companies had in stock. 

If found guilty, they risk up to ten years of jail, and the representatives of pharmaceutical companies - six years of detention.
