Interior Minister Alexandru Jizdan to take part at Interpol General Assembly

Interior Minister Alexandru Jizdan and the Head of Border Police, Fredolin Lecaros will participate in the 85th General Assembly of the International Organization for Cooperation between Interpol police which will take place in Bali, Indonesia.
Interior ministers, police chiefs and security experts worldwide will be present at the meeting and will address a number of current global issues and identify solutions to combat these threats.
Thus, 830 police chiefs and senior law enforcement officials from 164 countries will be present at the official opening of the event.
In this context, issues related to global fight against terrorism, border security state investigation, prevention and prosecution of criminal groups and cyber crimes, drug trafficking, weapons trafficking will be discussed.
The purpose of the annually held forum, is the strengthening of international cooperation of police, greater exchange of information and experience and the establishment of relations of cooperation between all countries, which will contribute to developing and maintaining security and stability globally through establishing new strategies and measures for more effective enforcement of the law.
