International Day of Democracy: Open door for Parliament discovery
The International Day of Democracy was marked today by the Parliament.
The Parliament welcomed all people's visits and the Head of legislature also conducted discussion between Parliament's guests.
Many young people and children attended practical workshops. Some of them have asked the Parliament president to intervene to cut off homework.
In the discussion, a smart student complained the overloaded tasks requested at home.
"Lesson should last for 60 minutes, not 45 but homework should be reduced 50 per cent."
"Do we need English in BAC exam? Do we make children to leave our country by learning this language?"
"Our goal is to know as many languages as possible. Four languages are spoken in my family. Little children speak with their mother in Czech, I talk to them in Romanian. I speak Russian and English with my wife, "said Andrian Candu, Speaker of Parliament.
The state institutions, which report to the deputies, participated in an open exhibition in the lobby of the legislative forum. The kids stood in a queue and took photos with the SIS officers.
The President of Parliament, however, was impressed by the central bank's gold coins and the machine verifying the veracity of the banknotes.
Visitors attended two workshops. One of them covered the theme of equality assurance. Here an experiment was organized, which demonstrated the existence of social classes. Participants received the tickets with the roles they must play and answered a number of questions.
Those who found themselves in the organizer's descriptions were taking a step forward so that a pyramid formed. At its peak came the high-income people, and the poor in the back.
"Who are you in the past?" "You are a middle-aged HIV prostitute. You are the son of a ruling party chairman."
"We are free and equal in dignity and rights, but the social situation we are in, the family, the environment and various other circumstances influence us and create a social distance between us," said Yan Feldman, president of the Equality Council.
