Moscow's Tverskaia court has returned to the investigator the petition regarding the arrest in the absence of Vlad Plahotniuc, in the case on drug trafficking, because Interpol refused to issue a international search warrant on the PDM former president, RIA Novosti reports.
The court decided to return the petition regarding the arrest of Vlad Plahotniuc to the investigator, Judge Stanislav Minin said. He mentioned that the decision regarding the arrest in the absence of the accused is taken when the latter is placed in international search.
At the hearing, the investigator stated that Plahotniuc is on an international search, but Plahotniuc's lawyer, Daria Konstantinova, mentioned that Interpol refused to include the former PD chief on the list of international search due to principles of neutrality, writes deschide.md.
