Since 2014 until 2019, the public budget expenses for education registered a rise of 57,2% or 4.477 million MDL. Ion Chicu, the Financial Ministry wrote on his Facebook page about the statistics: 

2014 - 7 823 million MDL
2015 - 8 462 million MDL (2015/2014: +8,1%)
2016 - 8 558 million MDL (2016/2015: +1,1%) 
2017 - 9 570 million MDL (2017/2016: + 11,8%)
2018 - 10 662 million MDL (2018/2017: + 11,4%)
2019 (est.) - 12 300 million MDL. (2018/2017: + 15,3%)

Ion Chicu also explained the reorganization, pooling and the transformation into subsidiaries of the education institutions isn't counted as a liquidation.

"It's an efficient management. The institutions that were closed by the public local authorities had a very low number of pupils. No one closed them to 'save money from education', and the numbers above are demonstrating it", declared Ion Chicu.
