It has been decided! The new office of the United States Embassy in Republic of Moldova will be built on the land of the former Republican stadium. Today, the Government decided to give this 5 ha surface to the American diplomacy.

The Government will decide on the price of the land and sign the sales purchasing agreement soon.

The Republican stadium will be given as a private propriety for the new office of the USA Embassy in Moldova.

In 2007, the communist Government, leaded by Vasile Tarlev decided to rebuilt the stadium, they demolished the old building and took the land in the state's propriety.

The Republican Stadium was opened in 1952 and has 8000 places.
