It snows in the whole country. The snow covered Moldova. According to the Hydrometeorological State Service, the temperatures will be up to 5 and 10 Celsius degrees below zero. Over 230 trucks clean the national roads and spread nonskid material. In the Capital, 22 trucks worked the whole night to facilitate the traffic.

The meteorologists announced Yellow Code for sharp water change and strong snow fall.

Risks:

-reduced visibility;
-high risk of slippages and road accidents;
-local disturbance of road traffic;
-partial isolation of some localities;
-failure of buildings under the influence of the weight of the snow layer;
-damage to telecommunications and power transmission lines.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

-permanent adaptation of vehicle speed to road conditions;
-the use of the illumination-warning system on all road categories;
-avoiding tiring activities, such as pushing the car or walking in deep snow, to prevent hypothermia --and an increase in heart disease;
-vehicle insurance with snow chains, shovel, scrapers, tow rope, spare fuel.
