A fire broke out in an electric substation in Ciocana sector, which belongs to Electric Transport Direction in Chisinau last night. Two special vehicles of firemen were at the scene. 

People living in the neighborhood said that they were scared of the accident. 

"We were staying nearby when it caught fire", said a local. 

Chisinau Interim Mayor Ruslan Codreanu said that the incident because the station was dilapidated.  

"They are very old, have been operational for 70 years, based on oil. But the flame is still strong. It's around three tons of oil", said Ruslan Codreanu.

Responsible people of Direction said that the similar transformers, which are operated on oil, are very dangerous for the health of people living nearby. 

"They need to be changed. Transformers with oil present a danger even nothing happens with them, the oil is dangerous itself", said representative of Electric Transport Direction.

The officers of institution worked all night to solve the problem and the trolleybus circulation was restarted.
