Legend of Chisinau International Marathon: Runner with artificial leg, triumphed 42-km course
The Moldovan Constantin Bostan succeeded rising his challenge on the running course of 42 km with his artificial leg in 5 hours 59 minutes.
"After hearing of Chisinau International Marathon, I thought that would be the chance to challenge myself in the city where i spent whole my special adolescence. Applause of supporters and volunteers encouraged me to finish this course", said runner Constantin Bostan.
He moved to live in Italy for 10 years. The brave man started participating running competition in 2013 in different courses and passed lots of important events in Milan and Florence.
Constantin was keen on running when he was a child and still kept this passion even after he fell down when he was 2 years old. He, as well, did karate and practice football.
"In 1997 I presented myself with the papers at the Medical University, and I was in crutches and short legs. They said I could not do medicine, because I had a short leg," Constantin Bostan confessed.
He made his dream in Italy, where he is now a social assistant.
"My job is to help people with special needs and the elderly. Besides, I am a volunteer at the ambulance for 5 years. I save people's lives", told Constantin Bostan.
Constantin Bostan is 39 years old and has done the Law School in Chisinau. He will continue to participate in various sports events.
Soon, Constantin will begin preparations for the Florence race where he debuted his first marathon in life.
