Lithuanian Ambassador: We continue support Moldova's European path
Lithuania pledges support to strengthen Moldova's European path and implement development project in our country. The declaration belongs to the Lithuanian ambassador Rimantas Latakas. The diplomat had a meeting today with Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in context of the ending of his mandate.
The Premier thanked the Ambassador for his activities in Chisinau during his mandate.
"We had a friendly, honest and objective attitude," said Pavel Filip.
In this context, the officials mentioned the contribution of several high-level visits and the provision of Lithuanian assistance to the development of the Republic of Moldova in important areas such as regional development, youth, internal affairs, exceptional situations, road traffic and food safety.
The support provided by EU high-level advisers in Lithuania has also been appreciated.
The Lithuanian official, in turn, underlined that the Republic of Moldova will remain a priority beneficiary of development support from Lithuania, including to catalyze the European integration process of our country. The diplomat confirmed his willingness to share Lithuania's experience in implementing reforms.
"The Republic of Moldova wants to be a European country and for that, first of all - to adopt European values. Reforms must go in all sectors in parallel, our only plan is European integration and we are doing everything to strengthen this path," he said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
