Two little girls aged three have died in a fire in Glinjeni village of the northern district of Făleşti.

According to the Emergency Service spokeswoman, the girls were left unattended in a room where an oil lamp was burning.

The firefighters deem the oil lamp to have caused the fire, as the girls may have died from noxious gases.

The girls were taken care of by their grandparents as their mother is thought to work in Chisinau.
