New local elections take place today in five other villages. These are the localities Leuseni and Nemteni, Hâncești district, where the former mayors resigned.

Inhabitants of Volovița commune, Soroca district will also choose their head. The former mayor also submitted his resignation application.

Elections are also held in the Jora de Mijloc communes in Orhei and Pârlita in Ungheni, after the mayors passed away.

Only two candidates are running in four of the five communes.
