Two hectares of hemp have been found near Nistru river, close to Crocmaz village (Ștefan Vodă District).
The land owner said to the Border Police officers "Olanesti" that the land had not been processed during the past 10 years since he was abroad.
The organic inspector determined that the plants had not been grown and groomed. Thus, the hemp was cut.
Border police officers still proceed the "MAC-2017" operation. A large number of measures have been taken to combat hemp growth as well as to punish those committing such offences.
