The plantations were pulled, lifted, sealed and sent to forensic lab for expertise. Currently, the suspect is investigated in a state of freedom and, depending on the results of his expertise, he may be prosecuted and punished with a fine of up to 20,000 lei or unpaid community work for up to 100 hours.
The operation MAC 2018 was initiated with the aim of combating illicit drug trafficking of vegetal origin, detecting and destroying narcotic-containing plants and identifying the people who cultivate them.
